Because I am modeler focused on Gulf War, I decided to built Academy´s 1:72 OV-10A Bronco. This plane is BuNo. 155428, bort no. 10 from USMC VMO-2 stationed at Al Jubail AB, Saudi Arabia during January 1991. Some Broncos in the Gulf War were painted in this nice desert camo, including both A and D version.
I used Academy kit, CMK´s interior set and exterior set (control surfaces), Eduard´s and Extratech´s PE sheets. Paints are from Model Master and Humbrol. I also scratchbuilt the AN/ALQ-144 IR jammer ("Disco Light") and used AIM-9 Sidewinder from Hasegawa weapon set. Because Broncos served as FAC (Forward Air Controller), I added 2 rocket pods from the kit.
I am planning to build either D version in 1:72 (from A kit + the amazing CMK´s conversion set) or D version, but in 1:48, using Testor´s kit and Paragon Designs conversion set.
