Hawker’s finest? The HUNTER in 1/48th scale

This is the most beautiful of aircraft!  You’re spoilt for choice – colour scheme wise- when you deal with Hunter T-bird’s, I chose as colourful an example as possible – the standard RAF training colours of the seventies and eighties.

This particular aircraft “XL600/”83”, served with No 4 Flying Training School (4FTS) at RAF Valley in Wales during the mid – late seventies. It later served with 16 Squadron RAF Germany in the early eighties, when that units Buccaneer’s were temporarily grounded due to a nasty accident at a Red Flag exercise at Nellis.

I used Academy’s Hunter as the basis, with Aeroclub’s conversion set. Decals came from ADS/Modeldecal and Xtradecal. I used a car (auto) spray can for the white, with the Light Aircraft Grey and Signal Red coming from Xtracolour

Enjoy! More Hunters to come!!!!!
