First
of all, on 27 February, my country Chile was devastated by a massive earthquake
and tsunami that struck and caused severe damage to a large part of the
territory, so I would like to send a message of strength and encouragement to
the people of my country, VIVA CHILE!!!
On
this day which marks the anniversary of the Fuerza Aerea de Chile, I like to
show you some pics of my F-16 MLU that belongs to the FACH.
The
kit is the F-16 CJ (Block 50) from Hasegawa, with the followings additions:
-
Black
Box cockpit.
-
Ejection
seat from Avionix Single Seat Set.
-
Verlinden
detail set for the cockpit.
-
Intake
and exhaust nozzle are from Wolfpack Design.
-
AIFF
antennas and parahousing made by a local modeller Claudio Luengo.
-
Eduard
photoetched set

I must say that fitting the Wolf Pack intake was a hard job because it is designed for Tamiya kit, but the quality of this resin set and the final result really worth it.
For painting this model I used Model Master Enamels and applied preshading, postshading, washing panel lines with artistic oil paints and weathering was done with pastel chalks; metallic areas were painted with Alclad II.
Decals are made by my friend Francisco de la Cerda (kindly called “PanchoDecals”) and the stencils are from the kit and spare box.
You can see the entire process of assembling this kit in the following links in the IPMS-Chile forum:

I hope you enjoy it. Happy modelling,
