  Canada Day 2010

For the Sabre group build, a Hasegawa F-86 Canadair Sabre Mk 5. (The open engine one) This is done up with spare decals and the detail decals from Leading Edge. The kit itself is out of the box. The real 23314 was flown until the Sabres retirement as one of the last trainers to prepare Starfighter pilots for the challenges of flying low and fast over the forests of CFB Chatham in the late 1960s. This plane was later bought and semi converted into a Mk6. It is currently the Golden Hawk Sabre which is still flying the airshow circuit.
