Harvard
The Harvard was a popular trainer aircraft used by many forces around the world. It has trained many pilots around the world and has done good service. The aircraft depicted here belongs to RNZAF and based in Christchurch New Zealand.

Kit
I always like the Harvard and its, connection to my family. My dad did his flying training on this bird in New Zealand in the sixties and later his QFI course there again on the Harvard.  ARC trainer group build saw me deciding to build one that was flown by my father.  The decals were from a New Zealand company very good register and a comprehensive sheet.  Overall finish by Gunze silver and orange and the various weathering with pastel chalk.  A fast and interesting build.  The canopy had to be redone as it was messed up during the building phase.

This is somewhat related to Malaysian independence as many Malaysian Air Force pilots learned to fly in NZ
