This is the Italeri No.127 1/72 C-47 “Skytrain”.
Model originally designed in D-Day version, but I built it as the Republic of China Air Force presidential plane version in 1946 by some antenna and air scoop converting.

According to history resource, this aircraft was provided by
the US as C-47B-DK with its original army serial number 43-48806. It was accepted by
the Republic of China air force on June 30 1945 at Jiu Long Po airport in Chongqing City after a hard ferry flight through the Hump, where it received a new ROCAF number 219. The aircraft was also honorably named “Meiling” after the First Lady Song Meiling of the time. On Oct 21 1946, the president Chiang
Kai-shek couple went to Taiwan by this aircraft and firstly landed on the Song Shang airport.

After 1946, a more modern aircraft was ordered by ROCAF as new presidential plane and No. 219 was transferred to ROCAF air lift troops. On Sep 6 1994, “Meiling” was removed to Taiwan AF Gangshan Museum. I built this model by Tamiya TS83 canned spray and TS17 for skin aberration. Tiger Wings decals for its logos, insignias and numbers.
