In
1996, TUDM ordered 18 MiG-29 variants which includes 16 single fighters and 2
two-seat trainers. The Mig were designated Mig-29N and Mig-29NUB
accordingly and based in TUDM Kuantan under No. 17(OCU) and No. 19 Sqn.
These are MiG-29SE aircraft that have been modified to include Western
avionics like IFF systems, navigation systems.
Over the years, Mig-29N had been further upgraded, among others are
the capable of carrying the R-77 Adder Missiles and enhanced radar
performance, the most noticeable external upgrade are the additional of the
retractable aerial refueling probe,

Both
kit uses the 1/72 Italeri Mig-29A kit as the basis, These models were build OOB
with the addition of the resin refueling probe. The decal is from the Scalenutz
