In the never ending
saga, comes the Tamiya A-1 Skyraider. A real shake and bake kit in 1/48 with
Superscale decals. My exhaust staining blows
dead bears but the rest of the model turned out pretty good. In the background
is a 1/72 scale model in the kill pile. Lately I have been building models to
replace my "not so great models". This new Skyraider would be one of
those.

I really found this
a simple build. Nice and relaxing.
Photo 6 is one heck
of an old model. Has twenty years of dust on it as you can see in the photo. One
of my first conversions. 7 and 8 are the Hasegawa A-3 Sky Warrior. Decals out of
the scrap box. Nice kit.

Last shots . Just
a few of the lower shelf models. F-4D Sky Ray in VF-102 markings from the scrap
box. A Cutlass in early CVW-8 marks (a big "E" on the tail.) Does the
madness ever end? No......I'm building more CVW-8 aircraft all the time.
